Beans, Beans The Money-Making Fruit

Travis planted soybeans this year for his 4H project. He only needed 6 hours to complete the project, but when your father is Brian, you go all out! Thay planted 90 acres across the street. They look good from over here, but the real gage of growth and development has been the bean plants he planted in the flower pots. I tried to pull them all out to make room for flowers, but Trav says, "That's another penny in my pocket." He has a shirt that says "Working My Way Towards My First Million." I hope he does have a good money sense when he's an adult, then he can take care of mom & dad!

Late Bloomers

We have been so busy this summer, we got our garden in late.

Everyone helped plant the corn and melons.

Travis made sure our rows were straight.

Even Ry learned how to grow corn this year. In fact, his is the tallest!

My friend Sarah came over on Wednesday with her kids. They got pretty bored and it was sizzling hot, so Travis made a homemade slip-n-slide. They had a great time, although it was a little dangerous...You can see Trav wiping out Ryan in the second picture!
He always makes sure his lil' bub is OK.

Walker Family

Here's a pic of all of us with Brian's family. He's #3 of 12 ya know. This was Christmas 2005 in Alabama. Don't we look like a big, happy bunch? It'a amazing how fast families grow. We have had several more additions to the family since then.

My Niece Jennifer & Amanda

Aren't they pretty little angels? Jenny didn't really mean to flip off the camera. It was a mad slip of the flip!!

A Great Ball Season

Ry played T-Ball again this year. He kept his head in the game.

Cody played his last year of machine pitch this season. He is eager to move on to "real" ball next year.

Trav's Ball Season

Travis had a good season this year. He played outfield right & left and 2nd base.

I liked their names on their shirts. Not all of the teams did this. Isn't it "pro" looking?

Knock it out!!

Wyoming Trip

Our trip to Wyoming was fun. The kids didn't know what to think about the cactus. My sister Alison made a beautiful bride. Can you find the snake on the tree? Isn't that insane? I heard a snake could climb a tree, but I hadn't ever seen it before. This pic was at Fort Laramie.

Shut it Sarah!!!

So...my friend Sarah has been bugging me to create our own blog spot. I got soooo sick of hearing about it that I finally decided to shut her up and do it. No, I really thought this might be a good way to keep our family out of state informed. You see, I have NEVER been good at writing letters or sending photos. Hopefully this will be fun for everyone. (If it isn't...blame Sarah)

We went to Lisa's to swim today. The kids had a great time, as always. Travis left on a scout trip today. He will be home saturday.

Sorry guys, that's all I have for now. As soon as I figure out how to use this thing I will post pics & more.
